Connect Netlify
The deploys of your Netlify sites appear in the assigned projects.
Where to connect
In VentionDesk under Workspace › Sources › “Add source”, category Hosting, then Netlify. Only the owner may connect, edit and remove.
Step by step
- Open app.netlify.com › avatar › User settings › Applications › “Personal access tokens” and click “New access token”.
- Give it a name such as “VentionDesk” and an expiry date. Netlify has no scopes: the token sees all teams of your account — so create it with an account that only sees the teams of your customer projects.
- Copy the token (it is only shown once) and enter it here. VentionDesk checks it by querying the sites.
- VentionDesk fetches the latest deploys of every assigned site every five minutes. Assignment happens automatically via the project’s GitHub repository; otherwise on the project page under “Deploy” › “Assign hosting”.
What the dialog asks for
| Field | Entry | Where from |
|---|---|---|
| API token | Required | secret | Netlify › User settings › Applications › Personal access tokens › “New access token”. |
VentionDesk stores secret entries encrypted and never shows them again. They are only saved once the provider confirms the access; if you edit a connection and leave a secret field empty, the previous value is kept.
