Chapter: Connect Render

Integrations

Connect Render

The deploys of your Render services appear in the projects; a crash creates a ticket.

Where to connect

In VentionDesk under Workspace › Sources › “Add source”, category Hosting, then Render. Only the owner may connect, edit and remove.

Step by step

  1. Open dashboard.render.com › Account Settings › API Keys and create a key. Render keys apply to all workspaces of your account.
  2. Enter the workspace ID if you have several workspaces — otherwise the service list mixes in other services.
  3. VentionDesk assigns services via the GitHub repository, fetches the deploys every two minutes and creates a ticket when a service crashes (server_failed).

What the dialog asks for

FieldEntryWhere from
API keyRequired | secretRender › Account Settings › API Keys › “Create API Key”.
Workspace IDoptionalOnly needed if the key sees several workspaces: Workspace › Settings, the identifier starts with tea- (team) or usr- (personal).

VentionDesk stores secret entries encrypted and never shows them again. They are only saved once the provider confirms the access; if you edit a connection and leave a secret field empty, the previous value is kept.
