Connect Postmark
This workspace’s emails go out via your Postmark server and your sender address.
Where to connect
In VentionDesk under Workspace › Sources › “Add source”, category Mail, then Postmark. Only the owner may connect, edit and remove.
Step by step
- Open account.postmarkapp.com › Servers and choose the server for this workspace’s emails (or create one). VentionDesk sends via its default stream “outbound” (Transactional).
- Under Sender Signatures › “Add Domain or Signature”, add your sender domain and set the DNS records shown: DKIM (TXT) and Return-Path (CNAME to pm.mtasv.net). Only once both are verified does Postmark accept emails with this sender address.
- In the server under API Tokens, copy the “Server API token”. It only sends via this one server; VentionDesk does not need the account token.
- Enter the token and sender address here. VentionDesk checks the token by querying the server (GET /server). Whether the sender address is verified only shows with the first email sent.
- Your customers’ replies still go to your VentionDesk mailbox (Reply-To) and land in the ticket. Bounces and complaints are only visible in your account with the provider — VentionDesk learns nothing about them. If sending fails, the reason is shown on this connection and the email counts as not sent; VentionDesk never silently falls back to another sender.
What the dialog asks for
| Field | Entry | Where from |
|---|---|---|
| Server token | Required | secret | Postmark › Servers › your server › API Tokens › “Server API token” — not the account token. |
| Sender address | Required | The address your emails come from, e.g. invoice@your-domain.com — on the domain you verified with the provider. VentionDesk takes the name in front of it from “Settings › Email sender”. |
VentionDesk stores secret entries encrypted and never shows them again. They are only saved once the provider confirms the access; if you edit a connection and leave a secret field empty, the previous value is kept.
